However, if you are not completely satisfied with your purchase or have received a damaged/incorrect item, this Refund & Returns Policy outlines your rights and how to claim a refund or replacement.

1. When Can You Request a Return or Refund?
We offer replacements or refunds in the following scenarios:
- Damaged Product: The item arrives physically damaged (broken packaging, crushed, spilled).
- Defective Quality: Stale, expired, or substandard quality (e.g., spices with bad odour, insects, or mould).
- Wrong Item Shipped: You received a completely different product than what you ordered.
- Missing Item: Part of your order is missing (e.g., ordered 3 items but received only 2).
- Late Delivery / Non-Receipt: Order never delivered after 15 days from dispatch (proof required).
For change of mind or incorrect ordering, we accept returns only for unopened, sealed, resalable non-perishable items within 7 days of delivery, subject to a restocking fee (see section 5).
Hygiene First Policy: For safety reasons, perishable goods (fresh produce, dairy, opened spices, grains, ghee jar with broken seal) cannot be returned once opened or used. However, if the product is defective upon arrival, we will replace it unconditionally.
2. Non-Returnable / Non-Refundable Items
To maintain highest quality standards, the following items are not eligible for return or refund unless they arrive damaged/defective:
- Any product whose seal or packaging has been opened by the customer (including spice sachets, atta, pulses).
- Perishable goods: fresh fruits, vegetables, dairy products, frozen items, and ready-to-eat sweets (e.g., Soan Papdi once opened).
- Personal care or hygiene products (if any).
- Clearance, "seconds", or limited-period festive specials.
- Items returned without original invoice, price tags, or tampered with.

3. How to Initiate a Return / Refund Request
Follow these simple steps to ensure fast resolution:
- Contact us within 48 hours of delivery — call +91 712 234 5678 or email returns@chopdastores.shop with your order ID.
- Provide evidence: Attach clear photos/videos of the damaged/wrong item, showing the packaging label and the issue. For missing items, share a photo of the entire delivery package.
- Keep the original packaging: We may require you to retain the product and box for verification by our courier partner.
- Wait for approval: Our support team will review your request within 2 business days and share a return authorization (RA) if eligible.
- Return pickup / self-ship: For large or heavy items, we may arrange a free pickup. For small packages, you may need to self-ship (reimbursement offered if approved).
Once we receive the returned product and verify its condition, we will process a replacement or refund as per your preference.
4. Refund Process & Timelines
After approval and receipt of returned product, refunds are initiated as follows:
- Prepaid Orders (Card/UPI/Net Banking): Refund amount will be credited back to the original payment source within 7–10 business days (depending on your bank).
- Cash on Delivery (COD): Refund will be provided via NEFT transfer to your bank account (provide account details) OR as store credit/voucher (instant). Store credits never expire.
- Partial Refunds: If only part of the order is problematic, we refund proportionate amount including shipping charges (if applicable).
- Replacement: For replacement requests, we dispatch a fresh product immediately after pickup of the damaged one (typically 3-5 days).
If your refund is delayed beyond 15 days, please contact your bank or reach out to us directly – we guarantee resolution.
5. Change of Mind & Restocking Fee
If you simply change your mind after receiving an unopened, undamaged, resalable product (non-perishable), you may return it within 7 days of delivery. Please note:
- Return shipping cost will be borne by you, unless we made an error.
- A restocking fee of 10% (minimum ₹30) will be deducted from the refund amount to cover handling and repackaging.
- Products must be unused, with all seals intact and original packaging.
6. Cancellation Policy (Before Shipment)
You can cancel your order within 2 hours of placement without any charges – just email or call us. After 2 hours:
- If the order is not yet packed, we may accept cancellation with a small processing fee (₹20).
- Once shipped, cancellation is not possible. However, you can refuse delivery; refund will be processed after the item returns to our warehouse (shipping charges deducted).
7. Damaged in Transit – What to Do
If you notice external damage to the package upon delivery:
- Do not accept the package – ask the delivery partner to mark it as "damaged in transit".
- If you accept but later discover internal damage, take unboxing video (highly recommended for all orders).
- Report within 48 hours with photos showing the shipping label and broken items.
Pro Tip: We strongly recommend recording an unboxing video for all high-value orders (above ₹1000). This helps us resolve claims instantly.
8. Refund Exceptions & Fraud Prevention
Chopda Stores reserves the right to deny a refund if:
- The product shows signs of misuse, intentional damage, or tampering.
- The return request is raised after 7 days from delivery.
- Incomplete or false evidence is provided.
- We detect unusual return patterns or suspected fraud. In such cases, we may block the account and report to legal authorities.
9. International Orders (Outside India)
Currently, we deliver only within India. For any future international shipping, refunds due to customs rejection or address errors will be subject to shipment return terms – custom duties are non-refundable. Please refer to the specific terms at checkout.
